Endless Alchemy Mystic Forest is one of the few greens I have and I rather like it. It’s a nice dark green, sort of hunter green adjacent with shading and just a hint of coppery sheen.

The only downside is that sometimes it’s a little too dark on a page and it’s hard to tell it’s green.

Scans

The scans are fairly true to the color in visible light. The ink does appear more pure dark green on MD paper and slightly blue-green on Iroful.

Photos

In the photos you can see a little of the sheen in the large swatch areas.

Low angle photo an ink swatch card. Overall the ink is a deep, dark green with very a few darker green areas were more ink has settled, and small amounts of coppery reflective sheen in a few areas. The card is an Iroful swatch card with an outline of a paint palette. Inside the palette is mostly filled in with swirls of hunter green ink and areas reflecting copper. Some areas with more ink are even darker green, and some areas outlined with a ring of copper. Even lower angle photo an ink swatch card. On Iroful again it appears a slightly more blue-ish, but not overly so.

Microscope

In the microscopes photos you can clearly see some sheen. On Iroful you can also easily see the blue undertone in the background and bright green fibers in the foreground.

Writing Samples

Here are a few photos of writing in an Endless Storyboard spiral notebook. You can see a little of the sheen in the doodle on the last image.

Chromatography

Chromatography starts blue and ends with various shades of green.

Most of the empty area and near the start is glowing blue, and sort of a yellow-green glow near the end, plus a slight blue halo past the leading edge.

UV Check

There is some glow under UV but nothing significant. I had higher hopes based on the chromatography, but it does sort of get brighter at least.

Group Photo

A wider view of a couple swatch cards and chromatography to show them in visible light. Nothing too surprising here compared to the other images, but it does show how prominent the col-o-ring swatch sheens.

Verdict

I like the color. It is very well-behaved, I haven’t had any issues with it in any pen I’ve used it with so far. I don’t use it as frequently as I use brighter greens, but I do use it regularly.
